Building strong teams
One of the most important, yet most difficult, leadership skill is developing, creating and maintaining a strong team.
I’ve worked with many leaders, helping them build and rebuild strong teams internally and externally. The results and impact these teams have are long-lasting and profound.
I also provide external, objective intervention with teams who’ve started to flounder and fail; sensitively trouble-shooting problem areas and turning them around.

Emma has facilitated our team away day for four years now.Her approach is friendly and informal whilst still providing us with challenge. She has asked the difficult questions on occasions and helped us to develop our thinking and approaches to our work. She is skilled and knowledgeable as a facilitator and that’s why we have her back!
I would highly recommend Emma for team building and facilitative work.
She …is able to communicate a great deal of empathy to staff who have faced personal and service challenges. Emma has helped a large number of staff in my organisation to recover their confidence after a very difficult service reorganisation. She very quickly helped staff to come to terms with the painful loss of their previous roles and provided the expert facilitation which has helped the new teams to embrace new opportunities.
I went to Emma because I wanted a bespoke management training course for our organisation; and she’s been brilliant.
We direct the agenda for each session; within that, Emma sets activities and exercises for the team to complete, and uses her vast understanding of team development to draw out insights into our interactions. It’s really made us gel as a team and develop a common understanding of what we do; it’s been very successful.
Emma’s training is innovative, dynamic, thought provoking, challenging and enjoyable… we have reflected that this is a revolutionary ‘thinking model’ for the NHS; we have never been challenged in this way…As a group, we have begun to gel and form cohesive plans. I believe that this concept of collaborative working, if implemented across the NHS, may well be paradigm shifting within a generation.
